Using the file explorer, you can access a Windows shared folder. If you do not turn on the Shared folder by default, it is disabled. The Network Drive option can be found in the Options menu of Windows Vista and Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. Select My Computer from the drop-down menu. To access the files in the shared folder, go to the /mnt/hgfs directory. host:/SharedFolderName /mnt/hgfs -o allow_other Replace SharedFolderName with the name of the shared folder on the Windows host. ![]() Type the following command to mount the shared folder: vmhgfs-fuse. Type the following command to create a mount point for the shared folder: mkdir /mnt/hgfs 6.
